Established on May 27th, 2014, our institution stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing a nurturing educational environment for our students.

Our Objective

Being a project of Nigerian Association for Family Development, we are dedicated to providing a holistic education that prepares pupils not only for academic success but also for a life of purpose and service to their family and society at large. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith and learning, as together, we collaborate with parents to nurture the next generation of leaders and compassionate individuals.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum which is a blend of Nigerian and British curriculum is designed to challenge and inspire pupils to reach their full potential academically, spiritually, and personally. We strive to create a learning environment where pupils feel supported and encouraged to explore their interests, ask questions, and think critically about the world around them.

Governing Council

At Orkids School, our Governing Council comprises experienced educators and dedicated professionals who provide strategic guidance and ensure the highest standards of excellence in education and child development. Their commitment drives our vision to inspire young minds and nurture future leaders.

The Governing Council of Orkids School consists of 9 Councilors as follows:

Key responsibilities of the Governing Council

  1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction.
  2. Holding the Head of School to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
  3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
  4. Set the strategic direction of the school.
  5. Set the school’s vision, mission, values, ethos & priorities in line with strategy.
  6. Determine the standards of conduct for the entire school community.
  7. Contribute to, approve, and review the school’s Self Evaluation.
  8. Review & approve the School Improvement Plan developed in conjunction with NAFAD.
  9. Review & approve all School Policies.
  10. Monitor admissions, admission appeals & pupil number trends.
